At the start of my nursing career, my curiosity about the mind-body connection was sparked by two very memorable patients: they had the same illness, the same symptoms, yet one got better and the other didn’t. I saw this happen over and over again, and I knew there had to be more to it than luck of the draw: My fascination with inner health and well-being, neuroscience and spirituality was born.
I set off on a thirty-year journey to uncover the truth that underpins illness, healing, and happiness. My strong clinical background was a great start, but I wanted a deeper, richer, both scientific and spiritual understanding. I explored concepts in neuroscience, spirituality, energy healing, healing touch, transcendental meditation, yoga, life coaching and Havening Techniques®.
I learned that the mind-body connection is stronger than I could ever have imagined. I learned that our thoughts are who we are; we’re not separate from them. It’s impossible to separate our minds from our circumstances. I trained how to use the power of the mind to heal the body, and I became a certified Havening Techniques® practitioner, yoga teacher, and transformational coach.
Today I guide people to heal from the inside out and take back control of their health, life, and success.
My teaching shows you how you can learn to use the power of your mind to feel better and live better.
My approach when working with a client is to create a relationship based on integrity, privacy and a gentle loving atmosphere for the person to feel safe and open to resolving issues that are preventing a happy life. The advantage of transformational coaching is that we do not have to discuss traumatic experiences, or explore in depth issues causing the anxiety, because this approach can actually ignite trauma and anxiety and leave a person stuck in the past. We work together on the brain pathways with the programming of current thoughts and emotions linking trauma, anxiety, depression and events from the past that limit a person from having a happy, productive and enjoyable life. We explore patterns of behaviour, current thoughts that are causing hurt, beliefs that are limiting, and habits that are blocking a person’s potential.
